Tenerife

We have an apartment in Los Cristianos which we bought about eight years ago as it is considered to be a good place to live, or go on holiday, particularly by the older generation. We regard Tenerife as our second home.

Some people ask if we ever get tired of going to the same place every year - Certainly Not!!!!!

Our apartment looks both onto the sea and the mountains - the view is really something.

We go on holiday there as often as possible and now have many friends on the island, particularly Tom and Stephen Hamilton who live in Guia de Isora, about 15 kilometres away.

Los Cristianos was a small fishing village before tourism took hold but it still retains  much of its old charm.

Although Los Cristianos caters well for older people there is still plenty to do for those of us who are younger but if you really want the all night discos and bars, Playa de Las Americas is only next door. It's near enough and far enough!

These are some of my favourite photographs.
