Walton
I lived in the village of Walton from 1971, when I was three years old, to 2000.
Before we moved to Walton we lived in various parts of the country due to my Dad's job.
We lived in three different houses in the village, the last one being an old Victorian house which went from cellar to attic. It was superb and we were there for 20 years. I even had my own lounge which had been constructed on the top floor.
My lounge reflected my personality, it was lush, rich, pink, extravagant, and quite OTT. After my strokes I was unable to visit the lounge as often and we eventually moved to a bungalow in the neighbouring village of Ryhill.
I grew up in Walton, went to the village school, but I won't say much about that as I do not want to bore you!
Walton is a commuter village as it is only a short distance from the motorway network and the village is very "sought after" as the Estate Agents put it. Prices reflect this! Our American friends would call it "quaint".
Walton is famous for Charles Waterton, (17.. to 18..) the explorer and naturalist, whose home, Walton Hall, is now a hotel set in the middle of a lake on his former estate. A new Golf Course adjoins the estate.

Because of my strokes we moved to a detached five bedroom bungalow which needed a little work doing on it in the neighbouring village of Ryhill.
The move was quite something as we had over 20 years worth of belongings in the house and Yes, on many days we were swinging from the chandeliers from the frustrations involved in buying and selling properties.
However, this was soon forgotten when we moved and the chandeliers went back up!
